Dogs are available for those without a dog or with a dog that is not appropriate for camp. Contact us for more details.
Our dog training summer camp focuses on teamwork and positive problem solving skills. These are skills that can be used in any aspect of life. The kids are encouraged to work through challenges by thinking through positive alternatives.
Our daily schedule begins with learning agility obstacles such as jumps, tunnels, and a-frame. Once the heat sets in we head indoors for basic obedience, tricks and more training. Our time together continues with educational exercises on dog safety and breed characteristics. In the mix we add movies, crafts and games. And that is just Level 1.
Level 2 offers more advanced training. Teams learn to traverse a course of agility obstacles in mock competition. A mixture of obediece and tricks are put together with music for Canine Musical Freestyle routines.
Level 2 camp will also include additional learning labs such as first aid, pet therapy and assistance dogs. This week we will be inviting in special guests to introduce different careers with dogs.
Kids that do not have a dog, or with a dog that would be appropriate for the environment, can be provided with a dog for use during camp.
